If you have an account at another one of our sites, visit the email section of that site. All of my emails were deleted? If your account is inactive for a certain period of time, our email partner deletes the content. Please login at least every 30 days. Stopping Pop-up Ads Our company does not sell Pop-up/under, interstitial or floating advertising. However, some of our service providers might do this. If you do not like these types of ads, there are ways around them. (Use these suggestions at your own risk.) 'Pop-Up Blocker' Software - you could add 'Pop-Up Blocker' software to your browser. Remember to only download software from sites you trust. Remember that you are responsible for anything you download. Blocking Sites - you can change the security settings in your browser to block content from the Pop-up advertisers. When a pop-up comes up, right click over the page and view properties. Find the address of the page. Now, open your browser's 'Internet Options'. Click the 'Security' tab. Click the 'Restricted Sites' link. Click the 'Sites' button. Now enter the site name or the IP address. Are you receiving unwanted mail? First, we do not send unwanted mail to our email users. Second, we do not sell our user's email addresses to other companies. Third, if the spam is from one of our users, see the next question. There are numerous ways that spammers can get your email address to send you unwanted mail. See the second question below for details. Receiving unwanted mail from one of our users? An overwhleming majority of the time, we have found it to be a fake address used in the 'From' line. To determine this, click 'Show Full Headers' in your email. This shows you the actual source. If the source is from a site outside of our network, contact the abuse department of that network. If it is truly from one of our users, forward it to abuse@CareerMVP.com. How do spammers get my email address? We do not share or sell the addresses of our users with others. Mainly, spammers search the web for addresses. They even have software that does it for them. They can find it on web sites, classified ads and even bulletin boards. They may also buy the list of email addresses from companies where you may have filled out a web form or bought a product. Also, friends who email a whole list of people with a CC instead of a BCC expose you to everybody else on the list. Sometimes spammers just guess addresses. If you respond, they know your address is real! What can I do about spam? Be careful when responding to spammers. You don't know who they are. They may not be the kind of people you want to know. Mainly, be careful of who you give your address to. But one great strategy is to use two different email accounts. Use one for a private email account that is only given to your closest friends. Use the other for a 'trash' email that can be used for anything and discarded later. How can I cancel my FREE account? If you are a free user of our email service, you do not need to cancel your account. Just don't log into it and it will eventually be deleted. Please note that this is automatic and we are not responsible for deleting your email address. I am a paid user and have a question? We do not handle the service of the paid email service.
